Okay, so after my little run in with the hand gesture and the shocked couple I went to an upscale department store to buy a few items. As I was walking around with the boys, I received a few stares from people( not that I really care). I walk up to the make up counter and ask an associate for some assistance. Nothing wrong with that: right? Well, apparently I wasn't good enough for her to assist me. She looked at me the first time, and ignored me. I said, "excuse me" again: nothing. So I spoke up a little louder and said, " Excuse me, I have been trying to ask for assistance for the last five minutes." She turns around and says "I am sorry, but I don't assist your type." That's when I lost it. You don't assist my type? And what type might that be? She looked me straight in the face and said " I don't assist murderers of Israeli's; I don't assist Hamas members."
I looked at her, and told her apparently you have your facts misconstrued. Israel is the one murdering innocent men, women, and children for the last 67 years. I told her apparently invading a land, forcefully evicting the residents, demolishing homes, raping women, and killing innocent people, is a not considered illegal. Partaking in a genocide that has been taking place for the last 67 years is considered "Okay" because it's Israel. I told her, "didn't you learn from what happened in Germany?" I went onto tell her that ethnic cleansing was and never will be acceptable. Apparently, if I speak my mind on something that is thrown at me then I am the one attacking them.
By that time my voice had risen enough to catch the attention of security and two managers,
I was straight forward and explained exactly what happened to the managers and security, and I was apologized to profusely. What upset me even more is while this is all unfolding, this associate would repeatedly call me a "terrorist advocate."
I looked straight at her and said, " It is you, who is a terrorist advocate, not me." I stand with the people whom suffer at the hands of the true terrorist: the Zionist. I asked the manager what she was planning on doing to remedy the situation and she said she would call me back........ Not exactly the answer I wanted to hear.
Why you may ask, was I spoken to in this manner? Because I wore my Hatta: the symbol of solidarity with Palestinians. I am Palestinian and will always be a PROUD Palestinian.
