EAMAN A. SULEIMAN - ZAYED
As salamu alykum! Hello, bonjour, mar7aba, hola! Whatever your language may be, I welcome you to my page! A little bit of information on myself, my name is Eaman, and translated my name means faith; and as you may have figured out I am a Palestinian American Hijabi!I am Palestinian by blood: and immensely proud to be so. I will wear my keffiyeh, shmegh, or hatta at every given chance.
One of my hope with this blog is that I can give a better understanding of what it is like to be a Palestinian and a hijabi in today's society. While yes, there are those whom are kind and understanding, there are those who aren't as kind. The point I would like to make is that, we are all humans. It shouldn't matter whether you are Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, or and Atheist. Everyone has the right to choose the religion they would like to follow. All that is required is respect, love and understanding.
I would like people to have some kind of understanding as to what it is like to be a hijabi in the world we live in today.
I was born and raised here in the US. I treat others as they treat me. So, in laymen's term, if you respect me, I will respect you.
I have been kicked around by life a few times, and it is because of this I feel as though I wise beyond my years. I have what is called life experience and street smarts.
I have experience in retail, inventory control, office management, business management, financing, public relations, marketing, fundraising, and training. I am a certified medical assistant, certified EKG technician, certified nursing assistant, certified clinical medical assistant, and a certified patient care technician.
So, I guess you can say, I have a experience in a variety of fields.
I am pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Journalism, and in political science. I have hopes of travelling around the world.
I am trilingual, as I am fluent in Arabic, English & sarcasm.
I love fashion, make-up, PURSES, travelling, and my babies. I am a full time mom, chauffeur, launderer, chef, nurse, doctor, referee, maid, and student. I have 2 handsome, very active, wise beyond their years boys. Alhamdillah, Thank God.
I have become somewhat of a mom on campus, too. My friends, and their friends, seem to always come to me for advice on many different subjects. I am opinionated, and everyone knows this. So, if you ask for my opinion: I will give it to you. I have been told numerous times that I am strong woman. By means of physical strength, mind, soul, and personality: even though I tend not to believe it. I live my life everyday, as I always say, "The day that has ended can not be lived again, so live your life to the fullest."
Well, this is some information about me.
