I know I'm a little behind with my blog, but my life is in somewhat of a whirl wind. Friday was quite interesting for me. I couldn't sleep for the life of me,I don't know if it was because of the pain in my arms or because of the pain in my back. Anyway, I woke up and began my day as usual, with a mug of coffee and getting the kids ready to go to grandma's house for the weekend. I finally got then fed, dressed, and in the car. I dropped them off at my brother's shop and left.
I decided to head to a local grocery store so I can pick up bottled water and coffee creamer. Mind you, I have severe nerve damage in my back and neck. This causes numbness in my arms and legs. Anyway, I had an associate load four cases of water into the buggy and I was fine. The problem was when I got to the car; how am I going to load these cases into the trunk? I requested assistance from the cashier and she said it would be at least another 30 minute before someone could come and assist me out.
I sucked it up and decided to walk outside and hopefully someone could help me. I popped open the trunk and looked around for a couple of minutes with no luck. I though to myself ," Just suck it up and load the cases into the trunk yourself." Just as I was maneuvering the buggy around, I had a woman ask me if she could help me. I was surprised, because she had a guy with her and he was giving me the dirtiest of looks! I said, " Yes, please.'' This woman that is no more than 5' tall loaded all four cases into the trunk within a minute! She was a lifesaver!
I thanked her profusely, and the man with her kept mumbling ignorant remarks to her as they walked away. I wonder what his problem was.
